How did you become an author?
As a teenager, I shut myself in my room and wrote stories, but I couldn’t show anyone. My family thought there was something wrong with me. I remember one day, my mother kicked me out of the house and told me to go somewhere—anywhere—she told me I couldn’t stay in my room and write anymore. They were worried that I didn’t have any friends.
What is the hardest part of being an author?
Knowing when to let go of a story.
Who has influenced your writing?
Dr Dallas John Baker has influenced me an awful lot. Nalini Singh has also been a large influence. Charlotte Bronte will always rest in my heart as the one who made me feel as though I was not alone. Janette Turner Hospital took my breath away with Orpheus Lost!
Do you write in a particular place?
I have a small office, but both my husband and son have their computers in the same room, so it is not always quiet.
How long did it take you to write Trelloran Seduction?
Over two years from conception to release.
